This book was required for my American Government/Political Science Summer 2016 class. It is easy to read and follow and it is very informative.

Very hard to understand the writing. Written for a much advanced level of political science.
While informative in the history and structure of California's political system, this textbook is written in a way that unfairly puts the democrat party in a very positive spotlight. The book is biased, and does not clearly explain the problems associated with California's political practices. For what a student pays in tuition for a college education its a shame that they get one sided ideals imprinted by garbage like this.
Excellent book. Very well written and insightful.
Loved the book— quite balanced (contrary to some of the previous reviews- who clearly know nothing)
