Even for the low price, this book was not worth reading; I was falsely lured by what now appear to be fake 4 and 5-star reviews. The book is pretty poorly written and mainly covers the concept of printing in Python. While useful, printing is one of many capabilities of Python that are important for a beginner to grasp. It should be made clear which version(s) of Python the example code is designed for; for instance, if using Python 3, much of the example code will need to be augmented (e.g., using parentheses for printed statements). If you are truly looking for a complete guide to getting started with Python, this book is not the best choice unfortunately.

Python is the programming language that is used to develop web developing it is the combination of high level and low level language. This book will give you full command on Python language.

What a horrible book. Most of the text is a sort of pep talk. The amount of information about Python is perhaps 20% of the entire book. I deleted this garbage from my tablet.

This is a 55-page pretense of being a book. About Python. You just got taken by fake reviews. Welcome to Kindle.Leonard Eddison, if that is a real name, is a ripoff artist.

I guess I'm the only one who wasn't in on the joke...but to save some other folks spending money (however little) on something that is obviously a scam, I thought I would speak up here. This 'book' is a several pages (really, it's only 55 pages) of generic, meaningless non-sense that was written by somebody who looks like they spent about 30 minutes looking over python web-sites then wrote a book about it. It is so devoid of any usable content that I have a hard time believing this wasn't a scam. The writing level is about 3rd or 4th grade. It's a relatively cheap book, but even if it was free, you would definitely feel cheated. If you read the description of the product carefully, there are very clear clues that this guide is ridiculous. I didn't read the description at all and relied on the reviews...which, in hindsight, appear to be bogus. Caveat emptor really applies in this case. Now, with all of the glowing reviews notwithstanding, which look rather suspicious...all folks who apparently review one or more books a day on Amazon and write reviews on them (I think that's a tell).

I think the author was drunk when he wrote this. Try Python by Mike McGrath from the "in easy steps" series for a well written and visually appealing beginners guide.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! This book is horribly written and was obviously not edited. The syntax of the code samples are completely incorrect and if you are actually trying to learn Python, the code samples are not executable. If Python is fresh to you, you will gain nothing from this book but frustration.

Just the book I was looking for. Simple and to the point. Highly recommend!!

I don't care how happy kids seem, if they wear long sleeves all the time, afraid to be seen in underwear, it's time to check for cutting. Cutting can quickly become an addiction. They may not even feel the need to alleviate emotional pain. They just feel they need. It's absolutely no different than drugs. So try and find ways to check without looking like your checking. Arms, stomach thighs legs, anywhere normally covered by clothes. Look ANYWHERE if you have to. Once it starts, it's one of the most difficult and sensitive things to get them to stop. Not to mention dangerous. But don't freak out. Try and understand why, be open, get counseling for your teen, AND YOURSELF. You may not think you need it, but you will. Trust me. It effects you in ways you never thought possible. And it's hard to understand. To be in so much pain, you would disfigure yourself to replace emotional pain with physical pain. (Trust me, I know, I used to cut clear to my mid 20's) you have to get help for your teen and yourself. You have to. Because it's not going to stop on its own. It's not a phase. This book is just the first step. The first of many. Check, see, order, make an appointment asap.

I bought this book within a few weeks of my first SI. I guess I knew cutting wasn't the best way to handle my I ssues. All I wanted was to stop the pain. I Googled the titile before I ever knew there was a book. I didn't tell my parents about it when it came. In fact, it sat on my shelf in my room for almost two months, unwritten in. During that time I would look through it occasionally when I was having a craving, it would sometimes help. The first few chapters says that its important to tell someone. No one knew for the longest time. I scared my self badly enough one day after I SIed that I brought the book to my parents. Since then I've worked through some of the chapters. I'd be lying if I told you it was "the cure" that my parents seem to think it is. I still cut, or slam my self into corners, 3 or 4 times a week. -which is actually an improvement. Its going to take a lot more than just a workbook to overcome this. As parents with kids who do what I do and have this book, look through their the book with them and talk about their SI with it....just because they don't say anything about it, or you don't see their scars, doesn't mean it went away. It means they're getting better at hiding it - wheather they want to or not. Act like you care. Don't freak out or pretend its not their. Either way won't work. Its a good book. - for anyone out there looking for a way to stop...this book can help. Even if you don't want to stop,(like me) it will still give you something to think about. Good luck to everyone, and wish me the same.

I'm a therapist and use this workbook with adolescent clients. In addition to addressing self-harm, the workbook also addresses body image and assertiveness. It's easy to understand and a very helpful tool for building concrete skills. I also find this book to work really well for DBT skills.

This helped my daughter through some very difficult times. I very highly recommend this. It gave my daughter something to see on paper, something to think about, something to do, when she felt at a loss

Book was very interesting for me and helped me to understand many aspects of the Jewish culture which my gentleman friend embraces. It also was very insightful into certain practices and guided me to know what kinds of questions to ask. I am a "cradle Catholic" who was never exposed to Judaism, and was so ignorant of the culture, holidays, and practices I could not really ask intelligent questions. Now we can have intersting intelligent discussions and it has helped me to understand him. Would recommend this book to anybody wishing to know more about Judaism.

Really great book. Very helpful for me, as I am looking to convert. I felt that the book was very approachable and quite easy to understand. Some parts are a little difficult if you have difficulty remembering Hebrew names and words, but otherwise an amazing book. Discusses history, culture, holidays, different stages of life, and so much more.

Very easy to understand! Honestly this is probably the best, most interesting book I have purchased in the LAST YEAR! This book is a GREAT conversation starter, especially for new or potential converts! I had several friends over, and one of them saw this book face down on the table. He picked it up and began reading it aloud, from the Passover section. After reading one page he closed the book and that's when he saw the cover. He exclaimed, "Wait - this is just the dummy version? This is already overwhelming!"

This book is written for all people, regardless of their heritage or knowledge of Judaism. The book is written with funny witticisms and anecdotes to go along with the copious data about a people, a culture, a heritage, a belief system.All sects of Judaism are covered, from ultra-orthodox to humanist Judaism. No one will feel alienated reading along. I am so happy I have discovered so much about my heritage; now I'm not a Judaism dummy!

Being a Sephardic - I needed to know some very basic info... Very informative book written for "Dummys"... Like me.. Very funny and glib book. A constant resource I will keep handy... I was brought up a "Catholic" but had very strong ties to Judaism via my Mom... She never talked about... If you have question? This is a good place to start.

After purchasing this book I started reading it, and was enjoying learning from the book. Once I got to chapter 17 page 220, I looked over and saw I was in chapter 20 on page 269. No pages were ripped out as you can see and flipping through I found that I have half of chapter 17, none of 18 or 19 and half of chapter 20. I was a little disappointed because now I will not get to be informed of what those chapters had to say.

I am in the process of converting to Judaism and this book has been very helpful!

I chose it to refresh myself on what I learned at conversion class. Definitely a great buy. Also good for the totally ignorant.

If you are traveling to NYC, and spending your time in Manhattan, this is the only map book you will need. It's compact, and will fit in your pocket, and is easy to use and to read.It starts with a map of Manhattan, which is divided into several sections. Each section has a corresponding map. When you open the book to a section, you will see some text and small pictures showing some of the highlights that you may want to see in the area. Then, the page folds out to a detailed map that is large enough to read easily, even while your walking, but still quite compact. The paper is very heavy, and after ten days of extensive use, my book has no torn maps, or even battered edges.The back of the book has both bus and subway maps, and although they are pretty small, you can still use them to get around on public transportation. The only thing I used to supplement this book was a compass, which helped when we emerged from a subway tunnel, and needed a quick direction.The cost of this book is only slightly more than a traditional map and is, in my opinion, an incredible value for the money. As a first-time visitor to NYC using this book, I was amazed that I never got lost; not even once!

folks, this is the best idea for a tourbook/map that i have stumbled across yet. i'm not prone to raving, but this will garner praise from me until the cows come home (bearing foot & mouth) no doubt.so, why is this so great? first of all, it's simple and well designed. the city is broken down into sections. you turn to those pages and there is a brief description of places to eat, shop, etc. the pages then open up into a map of the section with a description of major sites in the area.brilliant! no fumbling around a big map trying to find your street. no squinting to figure out where you are. it's easy to find landmarks, metro stops, etc.the card stock is nice and heavy and has lasted well even in my back pocket. the descriptions have been helpful without being too lengthy. and at this price, it's quite competitive with other maps while providing much more.
