After struggling with several how to do it books on EXCEL, I finally found EXCEL Basics in 30 minutes. What a relief Ian Lamont writes in language that beginners can understand and he is well organized and knows what beginners really need to learn first. He doesn't overload the book with complications that merely distract from learning and tend to bore the beginner. This is not to say that the subject is easy, just that he really appreciates what a struggle it is for a newcomer to spreadsheet programs to grasp the basic concepts. The "30 minute" bit, is laughable; I have spent 30 minutes on each chapter and then had to review it, to be sure I had it right. But the effort was worth it. The index and glossary alone are a big help in getting started! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it is in small print. I used a magnifying glass to read it and wish that it was available in computer format so I could magnify it on the screen. When I have finished it, I hope to go to some of the other books on the subject and be able to understand what they are talking about.

It is O.K. for beginners with no experience in Excel.

Purchasing the Kindle version of this book was my mistake. A hard copy of a reference book is much easier to read.

This book is good for someone who knows nothing, but it really doesnt have as much as I expected it to have in it. A bit dissappointed. but if you are a total beginner it is a great book.

I've purchased this book now 3 times over the last year - one for myself and then 2 for presents. While it is impossible to 100% substantiate that the meanings are actually true and totally spot-on, nevertheless it is fun and interesting to refer to the meanings when a particular number catches my attention. And I have found that at times, when looking up a specific number, that the meaning does seem to go along with thoughts I may be having.

This is not what I had hoped. I keep having a recurring number pattern in my life. I looked it up on the internet to see what it means. I found answers but no guidance. Is there something I should do now? Should I contact Angels and if so how? etc. I also wanted a more thorough explanation of the numbers I have seen. So I ordered the book. In the book they list numbers from 1 to 1,000 with VERY brief explanations to the meaning of the numbers. And no further info. I actually got a better explanation on the internet than I did in the book. I went through the book looking at dozens of numbers and they all said basically the same thing." We are here for you, you are doing a great job". None of them were cautions asking you to change direction. Or warnings telling you to have change course immediately. So if I am reading this right, every time you see recurring number patterns it is the Angels giving you a thumbs up. So why are there so many numbers? It would seem they would choose just a few to give you a message. I am really disappointed in this book.

As a kid, I was always intrigued by life's mysteries, existence beyond life, things that not even math or science could explain, and why I was always able to feel and see things that most children my age couldn't. I remember being able to see things like my future into my teen and adult years, saw people whom I didn't know until the latter part of my teen and adulthood years, I saw orbs of light, people who had passed on and this was how I met my grandfather Sal through visits; I saw color and number patterns, vivid dreams, and even had wishful thinking type of coincidences. Because I had very little guidance and had minimal understanding in what I had to do with this or what I felt, I had shut it all out from my life up until I was I'd say no more than 16 years old was when I began noticing and opening myself up these things all over again. I didn't put so much focus or emphasis on lots of these coincidences but kept them in mind years later. I remember always seeing three 0s everywhere I went or walked. In receipts, books, stamps, streets, books, grafitti, buildings, and even in dreams. One creepy example I can't forget was when I was 18 or 19 years old, I would wake up at exactly 3:15 am from horrible car accident nightmares I had then at the time everyday. The car accident did happen weeks later and when my car came to a hault, the exact time on the clock was 3:15. About a year and a half ago, I found myself going through much adversity. I remember having reoccurring dreams of seeing this beautiful bright light. I felt peaceful and found myself finding happiness throughout so much chaos in my life. Then I saw the number, color, and random patterns all over again. Dreams were more vivid, I would see orbs of light; I simply began to feel the many things I felt as a child only with more intensity and I was less fearful and more willing to embrace this gift.I remember seeing in my dreams the three 0s again but in the shape of a triangle. When I woke up, I woke up saying, "I get it, you're trying to tell me something, what is it?" As I was cleaning my brothers room, a book from the top shelf had fallen on my head. The book was coincidentally stories about Angels and it had an odd coding of 000 on it and I remember feeling butterflies in my stomach. I decided I wanted to research the book a bit more on Amazon to see if it was available for my Kindle. Doreen Virtue's book on Angel Numbers came up on my recommendations by coincidence and when I bought the book on a whim, I realized there were so many good things about it that explained and guided me to better comprehension of numbers and communication from God, spirit guides, and angels. It gave me a sense of comfort in knowing that this whole time, I was receiving messages regarding my concerns, my thoughts, my visions, and my prayers. I also bought books on symbols, colors, and books about spirit guides and angels. Coincidences and synchronicities are beyond real and if we open ourselves to those things, we may just have more of a better understanding of our lives, our purposes, and our existence in general. I loved every part of this book and keep it as a reference whenever I stumble through reoccurring patterns of numbers.

I kept seeing the number 11. When I glanced at the time or my gas mileage on my car.....on a lot of things. This is all be chance and I started to take notice and wondered if the universe was trying to tell me something. Lol. Then I purchased items at Home Depo and the girl at the register role me my total and exclaimed "angel numbers" . I took notice and she told that my total was an angel number and talked about this book. I was interested and she gave me the name and author. So I found it on Amazon and now I know that I was given a message. A positive one.

This book should be titled How to Write the Same Thing 999 Ways. She has a handful of number meanings and uses them over and over, rephrasing them as much as possible so you don't think every number has the same meaning, unless you're paying attention. It's a waste. It seems like she just made it all up to write another book. I have read a couple of her books and liked them and was hoping she was the real thing. Now I feel like she is just writing things people want to hear to make bucks. Very Disappointed.

My friend and I have both been seeing repetitive numbers and we were always looking to the internet to see what does this means and I stumbled onto this book I keep it in my purse. If you believe in angels as you should this book is great because it helps you with their messages to you yes I am serious you just have to believe! Angels are there and want to help!

Like other reviews here, i agree. Its mostly in dictionary format with limited blurbs relating to the number. There's a website called Joanne scribes that is far more informative and free. Its ok for on the run, but other than not, i wasn't terribly impressed. Decide for yourself, because some people love pure simplicity. I enjoy details.
