Amazon is going to put the college bookstore out of business. I rented this one. Its a great book, but it's thorough. Almost 1000 pages. Three times as much to buy new, almost twice as much new. Get a rolling backpack - it's heavy. Security, software, networks, databases, Python, OPP, web, social media...the whole shebang. Obliquely covers business applications, but I'm glad it doesn't revolve around them, as the publisher and my class description led me to believe. My advice is to rent it and buy it again when the new edition comes out if you think you'll. Want to refer back to it, unless you're loaded. If you were going to scan it, it would take you some time, and I believe it's illegal, even for personal use.
Same advice in electronic form. Much more affordable then book
